PowerShell summer tips 03
PowerShell are object oriented and the output will be an object in most cases.
An object contains methods and properties.
To get these members we can use the cmdlet Get-Member.
# Get-Help on Get-Member
The Get-Member cmdlet gets the members, the properties and methods,
To specify the object, use the InputObject parameter or pipe an object
to Get-Member . To get information about static members, the members
of the class, not of the instance, use the Static parameter.
To get only certain types of members, such as NoteProperties ,
use the MemberType parameter.
Get-Hotfix | Get-Member
This is a simple way to see what information we can get from an object.
So I think Get-Member is one of the best cmdlets.
