Inventory tool part 4

As shown In the first post in this serie.
The GUI will look like above.
In this part we will start to learn more about the form.

First of all we need to know all of the parts of the form that we want to use or change.

  1. Form Icon
    The default Icon for a Form is not that nice.
    But we can change It very easy.

  2. Form Text
    The default text for the form is “Form“.
    This is also very easy to change.

  3. GroupBox
    I like to group stuff with GroupBoxes and set a text that represent what the stuff inside is.

  4. GroupBox
    This GroupBox is for so we can show that the TextBox is for the Computer.
    We can use a Label for this. But I like GroupBoxes better.

  5. TextBox
    This TextBox is for the Computer that we want to get Information about.

  6. PictureBox
    I like an arrow to represent that we want to get Information.

  7. GroupBox
    This GroupBox is for so we can show that the TextBox is for the Cost Center information.

  8. TextBox
    This TextBox is for the Cost Center that the Computer belongs to.
    The TextBox is disabled until a Computer is found with the Arrow PictureBox.

  9. GroupBox
    This GroupBox is for so we can show that the TextBox is for the Owner information.

  10. TextBox
    This TextBox is for the owner that the Computer belongs to.
    The TextBox is disabled until a Computer is found with the Arrow PictureBox.

  11. GroupBox
    This GroupBox is for so we can show that the TextBox is for information.

  12. RichTextBox
    This RichText is for extra Information.
    I like to display information about whats happening when pressing a button in an RichTextBox.
    I use StatusBars for information when hovering the mouse over buttons or images.

  13. Button
    This Button is disabled until a Computer is found.
    When pressed the Information about the Computer will be changed.

  14. Button
    This Button is disabled until a Computer is found.
    When pressed the form will be as It was when loaded.

  15. Button
    The Form will be closed when this Button is pressed.

  16. StatusBar
    This StatusBar will be used for information when hovering with the mouse.
